Gutter Capital is an operator-led early stage venture capital firm based in Chinatown, NYC. We are an unusual firm. We invest early in transformational companies tackling big problems. We take a concentrated, high-conviction approach, leading pre-seed and seed rounds with significant ownership. After we invest, we work closely with founders to build exceptional companies through hands-on operational support.

221 Canal Street is the physical (and spiritual) home of Gutter Capital. Today it houses over 35 employees across 9 portfolio companies, as well as our 3 partners. We are a community of purpose-driven builders, many of whom have chosen to work together over many years across many companies.

As our first Operating Associate, you will work directly with our three partners to support and shape every aspect of the firm. This is not a typical junior role where you'll be one of many - you'll be the fourth full-time team member with significant responsibility and visibility into all aspects of the business. Your ability to drive results will directly impact our firm's success and our founders' experiences. You will function as office manager, community manager, and jack/jill-of-all-trades willing to do whatever it takes to make Gutter Capital a success.

Key responsibilities

• Support portfolio operations including quarterly LP reporting, portfolio company data collection, analysis, and fund performance tracking
• Support the Gutter Talent function in candidate sourcing and recruiting initiatives
• Manage all aspects of the office to ensure seamless day-to-day operations
• Coordinate founder programming, events and portfolio support initiatives
• Manage relationships with service providers, vendors, and key partner
• Support deal flow management and investment team processes
• Help level-up internal systems and processes
